Hi, I have a touch-HD and have downloaded the software and unlock_touch.exe you provided (thank you!!).
However, it runs and opens a txt. file but no code appears. I’ve downloaded the .cab files on my HTC and run the exe file from my PC whilst attached and sync turned on. Am I doing something wrong or is this software just not compatable with a HD.

I tried to use this procedure. I installed all the things i needed and i did get the unlock code. But what is up with this code… where can i insert this code to unlock my HTC Touch?

I can’t tell you how thankful I am after using your procedure to unlock my HTC Touch phone. I was tied down with a 24months contract and yet one year after the end of the contract, I am still paying the expensive tariff to my mobile provider.

Thanks for blackberry informations. Provided there are lot of new features available in different blacberry models & its typeical to unlock. But this info was very useful. different models. Like the same nowadays unlocking a nokia & other mobiles also very easy even through online itself we can unlock the mobiles. i found free unlock codes for mobiles from unlock free

Also, a quick note for those who doesn’t know the diff between GSM and CDMA phones: This will NOT work if your HTC Touch is a CDMA version. In other words, if your Touch is on Sprint/Verizon in USA, or Telus/Bell in Canada, do NOT try this! You’d risk turning your phone into a brick! This is only a solution for SIM unlock, which only works for GSM phones.

I followed the steps mentioned by you…

4. A file unlock_code.txt will be generated which will have the 8 digit unlock code (Ignore any other digits if generated.)

I got the 8 digit unlock code..but where to enter it?
I want to use Airtel SIM with my HTC touch 3452

nw wt 2 do nxt.
actually my problem is dt I wnt 2 use gprs on my bpl ntwrk bt the customer care executive says dt it is nt available on prepaid network.
n my cell during network wizard does not show bpl network.it only shows airtel,hutch n idea.
so wt to do nw.but from bpl I can call n receive call as well as messages.please help me witn gprs for bpl

I need some help. I restart the software of my HTC Touch Phone but when the initial screen appears and says “Tap the screen to set up your Windows Mobile based device” I pressed the cancel key and the phone turned locked, when i press the Unlock button (virtual) bellow on the screen then i have to press also a virtual button in the middle of the screen, but it does NOT work. I tried to restart the software again but when the phone turn on it continuos lock. what can i do?

This looks really complicated way. I am scared that it might cripple my phone. Is it 100% safe way of unlock? I unlocked one Touch cellphone before using and it did not require to upload any data to the phone. I simply entered unlock code.

Hi. I’m with Rogers in Canada, but will be travelling to Switzerland for 3 months. Using the phone/text messaging in Switzerland with Rogers is hugely expensive, so I’d like to use a Swiss SIM card in my htc touch. The problem I have is, if I do this to unlock the phone, how do I know if it is actually unlocked after? I don’t know a sole with a Fido card (the only other GSM in Canada)…and don’t want to wait until I get there only to find it it didn’t work? I went to a local store that sells all mobile phone brands, including Fido (there is no independent Fido store where I live) with some bologna story to try a Fido card (I have unlocked an older Samsung phone as well), but they said I’d have to pay to activate a SIM card, that they didn’t have any activated that I could try. Any ideas?

by the instruction, you take the first 8 digit.
Actuclly it’s the service provider unlock code,
you gonna put more than 3 time unlock code then you’ll found service provider unlock page.
or you put the 8 digit until it’s unlock, 55.
