ZAR - Data Recovery Software

by venukb on September 23, 2007

Contrary to what most people think, deletion of file on windows does not mean permanent loss of the data.

Eventually, the hard drive will write new data over the area where the old file is located.

File Recovery utilities take advantage of the fact that the deletion of file in windows is reversible.

by venukb on September 9, 2007

Check out this ad for the new "futuristic", "user friendly" email from Indiatimes

After seeing this ad and many other marketing campaigns on print from Indiatimes, I was tempted to checkout what was "futuristic" in this E-Mail service. After reading the "Features" page (which had so many typographical errors) and after seeing the pathetic login page, I just closed the web page.

gCalc - Calculator for Windows Mobile

by venukb on September 2, 2007

The default calculator that comes bundled with Windows Mobile 6 isn't made for touch phones. Also the application hasn't received an upgrade from a long time. Even my 5 year old Casio Pocket PC is running the same calculator application !
