Eusing - Free Registry Cleaner

by venukb on May 10, 2007

Windows Registry is the database which stores setting and configuration information of the installed software and hardware drivers.

Many a time registry entries are left behind after software uninstallation. Registry problems can also occurs because of incorrect removal of software, missing or corrupt hardware drivers or orphaned start-up programs.

These problems lead to a significant rise in the size of the registry and hence slows down the computer. (Windows will need more time to load, search, and read data from the Registry)

I myself test/use a lot of tools/software's and forced to re-install Windows every 6 months :)

There are a lot of powerful Registry Cleaners available including Registry Mechanic; but most of them have a

Google Analytics Reloaded

by venukb on May 10, 2007

Just a few days back I bought licensed copy of Mint; the cute powerful Web analytics application. When I wrote about Mint some days back I also mentioned about the poor navigation interface in Google Analytics

Looks like I was not the only one complaining; Jeff Veen and Brett Corsby unveiled the new version of Google Analytics at the EMetrics Summit.

What’s different? We've redesigned the reporting interface for greater customization and collaboration. This should make it easier for businesses and website owners to find and share the data you need to make informed decisions. The new version presents data more clearly and in context, so you

Doodles of a Crazy Man

by venukb on May 8, 2007

"Doodles of a Crazy Man" is the title of the blog maintained by my highly talented friend Vasuki.

Wondering why I am writing about this blog? Not because he is my friend or that his link is on my Blogroll; its out of total appreciation to the blog's content and his writing talent.

Of all the different blogs/RSS feeds that I read daily, this blog stands out primarily because of quality content.

Vasu has a unique style of story telling/putting his view and if you read a couple of posts in his blog you will definitely be tempted to dig through the blogs archives.

Most of the

Blog Layout Tweaks

by venukb on May 4, 2007

The blog now has a new look and feel ! There is no major change and only the header layout is re-designed.

I always wanted to move the "Page" links on the sidebar and now it has a new place at the bottom of the header.

However I almost spent hours together for the right color combination of Header and menu containers. Even now the combination is kind of weird and I would request a creative mind to suggest a good color combination for the header.

Feel free to comment on the things you like and dislike about the blog layout.

Note: If you are reading this post from your favorite RSS reader, for a change you have to
