No, I do not want PDF´s to load in FoxIT as a _separate_ process but I want FireFox to open PDF´s _inline_ or _inframe_ or _intab_ or whatever the hell you call it.

Go to Tools -> Options -> Content. Search for "File Types" pane and click on the "Manage" button within this pane. Its the same even on 2.0.0.4.
