Something Is Broken At Google

by venukb on May 24, 2006

There is a post at digg which is worth checking out. An online privacy service portal Cotse.net found that one of the main keyword in google search that bought users to their portal was "privacy service". In recent days they found that none of the search results for the keyword "privacy service" was pointing to cotse, except the ad for which cotse paid ! In recent days I have also felt that the google search service is not returning results relevant to the input keyword. Till few weeks back "Search" and "Google" were synonyms for me. However for some keywords, the results in Google were not satisfactory and I found better/faster results in windows ...

Eclipse..

by venukb on May 22, 2006

A lot of people know and love Eclipse as a great Java IDE. However, the real impact Eclipse has had on software development is providing the platform for ISVs to build and integrate software development tools. Developers, architects and testers benefit from an ecosystem of over 100 ISVs and hundreds of products which allow development teams choice in the tools best suited to their needs.

I have been a fan of this platform for quite some time and I have started a new section dedicated to Eclipse. The intent is to share what I have learnt and also keep track of the latest happenings around this amazing platform. Hope you find it interesting...

I was searching for the alpha release of Firefox 2 (Bon Echo) and I landed in a link to Firefox 3(MineField). I guess the installable available at this link of Firefox 2 which I guess is used as base for the next version of Firefox i.e. Minefield. I went ahead and installed the same and the browser seems to be working fine.
